Enchanted Evening with the Body Shop

Christmas is all about giving and this year The Body Shop is giving back to nature.

The Body Shop has always been my go to place for gifts especially when it comes to Christmas - looking at you Kris Kringle!

Their deliciously scented products paired with their ethos against animal testing and growing vegetarian + vegan ranges make them the perfect go to gift.

So it goes without saying that I was pretty excited to be invited to their #enchantedbynature evening where they showcased their new Christmas range which implores you to reconnect with nature and re-energise your mind, body and spirit through their nature inspired gifts.

We were treated to enchanting cocktails and nibbles under a forest-like canopy - the flowers were then donated to Perpetual Blooms who refreshed and rearranged them into beautiful posies to distribute to women shelters in Sydney - wish I knew about these guys before my wedding! We were given the opportunity to hang handwritten cards of affirmation on a tree, and grab some insight into our current state of mind through a crystal reading.

What I love most about The Body Shop's #enchantedbynature range though is the fact that every purchase made this Christmas - big or small - will help protect and re-wild over 10 million square metres of forest in England and Armenia. The Body Shop has also partnered with Woodland Trust as part of the World Bio-Bridges Mission which aims to build 10 bio-bridges by 2020 which will link isolated and endangered animals and plant species, allowing them to thrive and breed again. Which means this Christmas you can technically be giving two gifts thanks to The Body Shop!

At The Body Shop's event they also announced they will be donating an additional $20,000 to the Australian Childhood Foundation who help children affected by the trauma of abuse and violence. This donation will go towards the ACF's Healing Hearts Garden where children can heal and explore their senses in a restorative, natural environment. This is on top of their ongoing partnership where $3 from every sale of The Body Shop's Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restorative Lotion is donated to the ACF.

Now I'm not going to lie, one of the best part of the evening (other than getting out of the house and having a non-mum evening) was the amazing goody bag we were given from The Body Shop filled to the brim with their Christmas goodies. Their Christmas scents this year are Berry Bon Bon (my favourite), Peppermint Candy Cane and Vanilla Marshmellow (I got my KK got the House of Vanilla Marshmellow Delights which I personally would've been happy to keep!).

I love that all their gift packs are beautifully gift wrapped which means that's one less thing to do in the lead up to Christmas. They also have a great men's range which I didn't even know existed! The Beard Care kit is going to be perfect for maintaining hubby's luscious ginger beard. I'm personally eyeing off the Facial Mask Duo and their Advent calendars *hint hint*.

The Body Shop Christmas range is available instore and online now.
