phoenix.
Like a phoenix, rising from the ashes, here I am in my newest glory.
Cutting my hair has always been a cathartic experience for me, with the last time being 5 years ago after I graduated high school. It has always marked a point in my life that change has occurred with renewed energy and this time is no different.
2014 has been a rollercoaster ride of a year and with less than 2 months left I'm ready for the new adventures 2015 has to bring.
A new year, a fresh start, a new me - starting with a new hairdo.
But this experience wasn't all about me.
My nan was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and since then I had been wanting to cut my hair to donate, but the timing never felt quite right and I just couldn't quite bring myself to doing it, until now.
I will be donating almost 40cm to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths which is a wonderful program that create real hair wigs to give to woman who have lost their locks during the course of cancer.
A big thank you to the lovely Alex at Savvy Hair Boutique for the beautiful end result.
